Sometimes the most wonderful things happen right outside your front door. Our front door, with its expansive view of valleys and majestic mountains, is sometimes especially magical. I wonder if the people across the road were aware that a pot of gold briefly sat on their front porch between the downpours last week? On a sunnier day, I saw this blimp cruising between us and the mountains and knew I had to grab the camera quick. The passengers must have had an amazing view that day.

Congrats to Eric at Can You See the Sunset and his wife, as they are in the process of expanding their family. I wish the new kid luck–their darling three-year-old is a tough act to follow.
I missed an excellent Valentine’s Day mix last Friday at Music Under Fire. There is also a show review of one of my favorites, the French Kicks, and at the top the Calm Blue Sea, a wonderful, independent band that produces lovely ambient sounds.
Sometimes I think I could give up all other Internet pursuits and just live at Song, By Toad. I agree they lack brilliance, but I do like them, so I’ll have to prepare a rebuttal.
From Indie Mom, who has become a certified Craigslist addict, comes this irresistible item for the low, low price of $100. You want that, don’t you?
I will never, ever, ever catch up with my e-mails. These are just a few of the nice things I have been able to download and listen to. I apologize for the lack of context.
