02.22Desert Noises
I got a link by e-mail yesterday to this new video, produced by Drew Danbury, for the Desert Noises song, “New Man,” from their debut self-titled EP that was released at the end of January. I was immediately struck by the gorgeous production values in the sound of the guitars and vocals. I learned that the entire EP of seven songs was recorded in only four days at NPR studios.
Desert Noises is made up of brothers Kyle and Trevor Henderson and Riley Johnson, all from the Wasatch Front college town of Provo, Utah. If you like “New Man,” go also for “Blue Skies”–that is if you don’t just spring for the whole thing. It’s a pretty darn impressive debut.
