Jump Clubb of Beverly Hills produces songs that fall into a category I call in my own mind “Sad Little Disco.” Songs in this category are basically electronic and often have dance beats but just aren’t exactly in the party mood, you know? Jump Clubb themselves call it “No Dance.” It’s still very attractive, with lo-fi vocals that are reflective of indie rock floating over the synths.

In another reverse from the likes of Lady Gaga, this band chooses to keep the focus on the music and not on themselves. You won’t find much about them out there other than a Twitter account and a couple of Youtubes–no photos, no MySpace. The debut album, The Love Of No Dance is scheduled for release October 6th.
