I also usually prefer that songs have vocals. I like the sound of a voice along with other instruments, and I like the interest that lyrics bring to a song. For those reasons, instrumentals rarely appear on Speed of Dark, so I can sympathize somewhat with C. Tierney.
That said, I think “Phoneme” does contain enough interest, especially when I am in the mood for serenity and relaxation, and it is very nice in combination with other songs like the ones I posted this week. I hope you both checked the City of Satellites post on Monday.
