Merry Christmas Tunes

Whoa, Prancer! We need some Christmas music! Quick!

Happy Holidays from San Francisco’s My First Earthquake, with this funny song and video about Santa love.

And another. It’s hard to beat Chrissie Hynde’s original version, but this is as delicate as a snowflake.

I just noticed that the keyboard in My First Earthquake’s video is sitting on an ironing board. Ho ho ho!

I’ve been using that ironing board as a keyboard stand for three years now. I never thought I’d stick with it, but it’s the perfect height and it’s pretty much unbreakable.

We played The Viper Room in LA over the summer. They provide most of the gear, so we drove down in Dave’s little Honda and had a friend bring an ironing board to the show. The bouncer was quite confused when our friend came in carrying it.

Hi, Chad from My First Earthquake!
Even if that ironing board did break, it would be cheaper to replace than a keyboard stand, I am sure. We’ll have to see if more bands pick up on its practical aspects. Thanks for the song, and Merry Christmas!

All of the above are wonderful songs and carols. But The Hush Now - Wishing You a Happy Christmas is my favourite.
