To My Valentine

On this day six years ago, my sweetie said he wasn’t going to get down on one knee, but didn’t I think we should get married? In my twisty little female mind, that counts as a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal.

I know being a V-Day hater in more in vogue, but I get a little mushy about it.

Love Joan As Policewoman - think my first discovery happened here actually!

I definitely think that is romantic.

Makes me think back to when my husband (then boyfriend) grabbed my hand in the car as I was fidgeting with the radio dial. He said “Can I ask you something?” I thought he was going to say “Please stop with the music already”. But, no….he proposed. We don’t need knees! lol!

I love your song selections. Really love the Muse.

Well he had dropped a few hints before, like, “If you got married again, what kind of wedding would you want?” but I did not let myself think that he was getting specific about us. But on this day we were in a restaurant, and when he said, “Don’t you think we ought to get married?” his face got really pink and he looked soooo cute!

Yes, that Muse song is one of the most beautiful and touching love songs I know–and we know a lot of songs, don’t we?
